On Tuesday, 9th of July 2019, Seeders/LWAF 2018 held its 8th investment meeting at BDD 1294, Beirut. The ceremony was attended by Seeders/LWAF MBA3 investors as well as partners from IM Capital and Go Beyond.
The meeting was kicked off by Maria-Carolina Romero, Head of Portfolio Products at Go Beyond, and introduced the Deal Leaders that will present the status of the startups in due dilligence
1st Startup - A peer-to-peer mobile platform that instantaneously connects students seeking help in a specific course to qualified private tutors. Parents, high school and university students can find and book a qualified tutor in less than 30 seconds based on their preferences (price, rating, location, etc.).
2nd Stratup - is an end-to-end real-time traceability platform targeting the MENA region and enabling food manufacturers and producers to log every interaction across the supply chain to comply with regulations, generate business growth, access new markets and improve brand perception.
3rd Startup - an AI solution that is specifically tailored for financial markets, including automated analysis of public companies and their news.
4th Startup - a software solution that aims to enhance global online and offline deliveries by connecting trusted partners with consumers, and making order fulfillment and dispatching a seamless experience.
5th Startup- an innovative, clinically ascertained technology that corrects faulty alignment of your teeth quickly, painlessly and subtly.
6th Startup - a high end virtual & physical consignment store that acts as a liaison between owners of unneeded fashion items and seekers of luxury at a bargain.
After the pitches, the attendees were invited to a cocktail reception were they got the chance to network with the Deal Leaders to have an indepth review on the startups.
Following reception, debriefs for the final Review of portfolio, recap, lessons learned and next steps started.
