2017 kicked off with two busy days for Seeders 2016 Angel Investors on January 19 and 20 at Beirut Digital District 1075.
The group’s fourth investment meeting took place on Thursday January 19 starting with a pre-screening session for seven ventures, for an opportunity to pitch to the group in March. The second part of the day witnessed four pitches by ambitious entrepreneurs to raise funds for namely an on-demand car care app, a do-it-yourself 3D based furniture solution app, a platform for trusted childcare, and an active dual SIM case for iPhone. Two out of the four pitching ventures received a majority vote to proceed with Due Diligence.
On Friday January 20, the second live workshop day featured three units: Company Valuation, Deal Terms, and Financials for Non-Finance People. The use of specific deals from the program as examples throughout the training proved to be to the learning process and contributed to the learning process.
The next meeting is scheduled for March 2, 2017, and will be moderated by Mrs. Brigitte Baumann, CEO of GoBeyond.
